Riverbends Layla
Layla is one of our Riverbends sisters. Zoey is her full blood littermate sister. Layla matured slowly and fantasticly just like every bordeaux should. Layla is our perfect couch potato kind of girl. Her temperment is incredible. She is silly, loving, playful, and the perfect mother. We couldn't ask for a more loving protective mother dog. She even takes care of puppies that are not hers. She puts up with any rambunctious puppy behavior there is. She is incredible with kids and has always understood her size and to be more gentle around young children.
Layla blessed us with three gorgeous litters of puppies. Most of which can be seen on our past puppies page. Layla was an amazing mother from the very first puppy that was born. It was always a little hard on her when it came time for all her little babies to leave. Layla would dance around and then flop herself down so she could be given her puppies to nurse. She only ever left for short potty breaks and back with her babies she went.
This wonderful motherly temperment is obvious in her every day life. She is not the kind of dog who overly corrects or is bothered by other dogs behavior. She is wonderful with other dogs. Layla adores children and is always happy with a good belly rub. She is one of the most obediant dogs we have. She taught us some of her fancy tricks and was a breeze to teach her manners.
